Jack G Bowman

Outside the Window of the Nissan

The window fogs when they get close together

make sure they are not seen, not being observed,

take off the seat belts

whisper things in the car

then they get into each other

heat up the interior, turn December ice to fire,

outside the trees blow in the wind,

hearing this

their minds travel away

until,

the officer knocks on the window
